Interscholastic athletic programs are an important and rewarding part of the many opportunities afforded to Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic High School students. Through our athletic programs, Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic High School fosters the emotional and physical growth and maturity of involved students.

Through self‑sacrifice and hard work, the athlete is exposed first-hand to the concepts of cooperation and self-discipline in pursuit of individual and team goals. Representing Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic High School as a student athlete is a privilege and a responsibility; therefore, each participant must meet the standards set forth by both the Athletic Department and the individual coaches.

High school athletics is competitive, but success is more than just wins and losses. Athletes at Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic High School calls students to hard work, integrity, building character, and fostering community – on and off the field of competition. It is required that our athletes be SCHOLARS first. Being a scholar-athlete is not easy, nor is it a right - but that is what makes it so rewarding.

The goal of the Saint Jeanne Athletic Program is to build a culture of well-rounded scholar-athletes. Scholar-athletes are role models, especially to youth and because of this, we have a tremendous responsibility to impact the lives of others.

Coaches, Administrators, and Staff function as a “family” to develop scholar-athletes with a reputation of being honorable members of the community. This goal is achieved by fostering positive attitude, a strong work ethic, undying commitment, unwavering self-confidence, an ultimate concept of team, and most importantly by making sure our FAITH shines front and center before anything and in everything.

It takes a special person to succeed in athletics and in life, but every successful person relies on the help and support of others. Through athletics, we will instill these habits and core values that will create young men and women who will be successful adults ready to transform society. We will not settle for average - we aspire to be exceptional.

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic High School is a member of the California Interscholastic Federation, Southern Section (CIF) and is governed by the policies set forth in the CIF Blue Book.
