Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic High School offers a college preparatory curriculum designed to assist all students to achieve at their highest level. We recognize that students have varying strengths, interests, and abilities, and we strive to address these differences to maximize student success. We have developed a variety of college preparatory courses that encourage mastery across a wide range of disciplines and within the requirements of most American universities and colleges, especially those of the University of California and California State University systems.
 
College preparatory courses at Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic High School meet the University of California A to G requirements. These courses prepare students across many disciplines for college admission and provide an excellent foundation for the successful completion of college course work.
 
A Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic High School graduate will complete a minimum of 280 credits in the following:
 
CLASS SEMESTERS
Religious Studies 8 Semesters
English 8 Semesters
Fine Arts 2 semesters (must be in the same discipline)
Mathematics 6 Semesters
Health/PE** 4 Semesters
Science 6 Semesters
Social Studies* 6 Semesters
Languages 4 Semesters (must be in the same language)
Elective Courses 6 Semesters
 
 
Seniors will also be required to successfully complete a Senior Exit Interview, and a Senior thesis comprised of an ethics component and subject matter based on student interest.
 
*Must include World History (2 semesters), U.S. History (2 semesters), Government (one semester), and Economics (one semester) or the A.P. course equivalent of either Government or Economics.
 
**Health is a mandatory class integrated with the P.E. requirements. P.E. credits can be satisfied by participation in Varsity Interscholastic sports and by meeting designated criteria established by each sport.
