College & Career
In the Spring semester of their Junior year, SJHS students begin preparing for their future in our one-of-a-kind course, Junior Seminar: College & Career. This required, A-G approved course prepares students for a successful journey into higher education and the professional world. Tailored to empower high school juniors, this comprehensive seminar is designed to equip students with essential skills and insights that will guide them through their next steps after graduation. Students go through three units which cover self-discovery, college application mastery, and career exploration. By the end of their junior year, our students are prepared to make informed decisions about their futures, have completed their common applications, crafted their personal essays, and have the knowledge it takes to align their future aspirations with real-world opportunities.
